Traversing Throw Quilt
This quilt—an original design—started out as a minimalist black and white wall-art piece but I found myself shifting gears mid-way through and this graphic, green beauty is what emerged. It’s throw-sized, a perfect lap blanket for an adult, or a terrific cuddle blanket for a smaller human (or hey, non-human too). It’s machine-pieced (including the black and white stripes which are individual strips of fabric sewn together), and big-stitch hand-quilted.
Note: This quilt was gently washed and air dried upon completion. Washing a quilt causes it to get lots of crinkles. Some folks love this look, others prefer it flatter. It will naturally flatten out with time and use, or you can iron it (with care) if you like.
